Waipouli Beach – A Beautiful White Sand Beach In Kapaa
While there are several popular beaches on Kauai you can visit, there are some beaches that aren’t as highly trafficked, and Waipouli Beach is one of them. While this beach is fairly well known, it isn’t overly crowded and offers a tranquil place to escape from your day for a couple hours.

Waipouli Beach is a picturesque and clean white sand beach located on Kauai’s east side directly in front of the Waipouli Beach Resort. One nice (and convenient) thing about this beach is its location. You don’t have to travel far to get to it, you can park in a paved parking lot, and there are several restaurants and stores, including beachfront dining at Oasis on the Beach Restaurant & Bar and a Safeway grocery store (open 24 hours), a short walk away.
If you’re looking for a great, smaller beach that’s not too crowded with coastal views and swaying palm trees, you’ll be happy here. This east side beach is a pretty place to bring the kids and let them play in the sand, and is also a great place to take a short beach stroll and watch colorful Kauai sunrises and sunsets. Spend an afternoon basking in the warm Hawaiian sun at Waipouli Beach and forget about everything else for a little while.

Public Access To Waipouli Beach
Waipouli Beach is open to the public, is great for all ages, and is easily accessible. Public access to Waipouli Beach can be found at the South end of the Waipouli Beach Resort parking lot. Look for a narrow, sandy trail at the southern end (and in front of the Waipouli Beach Resort), and follow it to a nice, shaded section of the beach.
